According to the Asian American Foundation, "Despite making up 7% of the US population, AAPI organizations receive less than .2% of philanthropic giving from foundations and less than 1% of Corporate giving. Undeterred by these facts, Transplanting Traditions strives to amplify and celebrate the cultural heritage of the refugee community from Burma. We celebrate our culture, growing and eating cultural food, and having autonomy in the way we address food access. Our goal is to promote reconnection with cultural heritage and assist in re-creating home as Asian Americans in the United States.
During Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we ask that you help us prosper as an organization by giving a monetary donation. Your donations will ensure that our work continues to provide opportunities for refugee and immigrant farmers to provide for themselves and their families for years to come.
2024 Spring Open House Cancelled: Due to April showers in the month of May, and chances for storms this weekend, we regret to inform everyone that our 2024 Spring Open House has been cancelled. We appreciate all of the help and support from volunteers and partnering organizations that would have made this event a success.
